These things degrade over time, and I will be interested to see whether this outlasts the laptop or not. The original power supply lasted 7 years. Also the kids love the mouse.

Portable USB 2.0 Cassette to MP3 Sound Converter Rip Your Old Cassettes for mp3 Review

This little gadget works fine. I have some old cassettes that are out of print now and I didn't want to lose those songs. The quality is not great, and there is some noise in the background from the wheels turning but you can hear the song clearly. If the cassette itself is not in good shape, you have to hold the connection in very tight or you get lots of crackly noises. Cassettes that are in good shape transfer quite well.

I am satisfied with this item. It does what it is supposed to do.
