I live off of (and depend on) eSATA for streaming audio that I use in Pro Tools, Adobe Premiere, and other audio/video engineering programs. Since I discovered I could have an external drive fast enough to process real-time audio/video (I use a Western Digital My Book 1TB with eSATA), It's always been paramount to have a great eSATA cable that works. Sometimes, I need the drive longer distances away from my laptop - so I figured I'd try one of these 10ft (3m) cables. I've read some reviews that it's too far to stretch an eSATA device, but I can tell you from my personal experience that this cable is absolutely perfect. It works exactly the same as my 3ft cable I have and I personally have not had an instance where it created noticeable lag or showed any weakness in being a longer cable. I'm running a PC Laptop (Alienware) with Windows 7 on it - I'm not sure if computer type and OS make a difference, but I've seen some APPLE/MAC users complain that it doesn't work. I can't vouch for MAC, considering I haven't tried it, but for a PC this cable is a must-have for anyone using eSATA.Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "NSIcable 7-pin External eSATA Male to Male cable - 7 pin eSATA M/M - 10Ft (3m)" are high quality item.
