While internal SATA connectors have an "L" shaped key eSATA connectors use smaller vertically offset keys. This shielded eSATA cable is certified to perform to SATA 6 Gbps performance standards. Each end is terminated in an eSATA connector for use with external SATA devices and controller ports only. Note that SATA 6 Gbps cables are backwards compatible and can be use d with SATA 3 Gbps and SATA 1. 5 Gbps devices.

Nothing bad to say, great cable does what it suppose to do. I love the rounded cable as oppose to the original eSATAs which come flatted. Solid and fits perfectly into my drive/ PC. Definitely recommend this rounded cable than the other ones, trust me. Flat ones don't last long as I have experienced. Esp. if your always going to use the eSATA back and forth. Flats tend to bend and ruin the wires inside somehow.
