Got this to replace my old cat5 tester which went on the fritz. Nothing fancy but works just fine. I like how the test lights light up on each device, so if you're testing a line that's installed in a building you can see that it works on either end. My old one only lit up on one of the devices when both were connected, which could involve extra running around to see if the cable was good if you weren't mindful of how you connected the tester. I also like the power switch, which would be difficult to turn on by accident. My old tester had the push button type, which was easy to bump and accidently leave the device turned on. The smaller device also attaches to the larger one, making it easier not to lose it. The only downside is that there's no case included.
