I opted for this cable over the Griffin Technology GC17097 USB Mini-Cable Kit despite is being more than 2x as much because I liked the look and the clip on this cable.

The cables do indeed work great and function well, but the quality leaves something to be desired. Time will tell how well these last. The part where the head connects to the cable is no well reinforced, and as a result looks as though it would break very easily.

I would think that if you put these in your bag using the clip, the part inside the bag would generally be the part that is most protected. It would have been better to put the clip on the full-size USB end rather than the micro-USB end, since the full-size USB end would be much more sturdy sticking up in your bag (or wherever you keep it). Maybe not a huge deal, but it was the first thing I noticed when I actually clipped this cable to something.

The most annoying thing, though, is that the micro USB connection is upside-down. YMMV depending on your device, but using it with my phone it ends up sitting face down next to my computer, making it much less useful if I am trying to do something that involves connecting my phone to a computer AND using it. I didn't think of this when I bought it, but be sure to examine the picture of the cable closely to see if it will work for you. The Griffin version linked above does not have the Micro-USB end flipped.

Over all these are cool cables, and your friends will give you some oo's and ah's, but if I don't think their quality and design issues warrant the high price. This is a five dollar product sold for more than double that. I'd avoid these cables and go with the Griffin ones for les money.
