These adapters are made out of converted chargers, so if your organization is very strict about using only OEM/official hardware, you'll want to go spend more money. . . I mean look elsewhere!

They are very high quality builds, clearly labeled as the programmers instead of chargers, and work exactly as expected. I was a little nervous when I first found these, and decided to pay the markup to buy them through Amazon for the added consumer protection, but I had no problems. As an amateur radio operator, aftermarket programming hardware is nothing new. It's just a serial adapter from your computer, nothing special, but this set includes a USB inline adapter. These are still high quality pieces for half the price of OEM. I would definitely not hesitate to recommend again.

Only problem I have is the drivers CD is on Mini-CD. Our station has a vertical drive, which can't accept a mini (unless I turn the whole machine on its side, which is what I did). Many laptops also have slot loads now which can't accept mini's. I just put the install on a flash drive though, which works fine.
