What can I say? This adapter does exactly what it is supposed to do. I can connect a standard internal SATA HDD to my external SATA port. Of course I still need to supply power to my HDD since this adapter is only designed for data transfer (like all SATA internal connections) My advice is to get a SATA HDD to USB adapter but only use the SATA power adapter but use this for the eSATA port which is faster than USB. Just in case you were wondering about data transfer speed ranks here they are:
