I bought this cable so I could load repeater frequencies into my FT-8800 transceiver. I also have an HT which I also load frequencies into and I wanted to use the same basic set of frequencies in both radios.
As I said, the cable works as expected. I use the CHIRP programming software running on Linux to download and upload info to the radio. Since I use the Linux OS, I have no issues with USB drivers.
This meets my cable needs perfectly.
