My four non-PWM fans get connected with the two pin to the front panel fan control and the three pin to the fans. Works fine. I had trouble finding the right connector initially. This IS what you need. Now I can control all my four case fans and (by other means) my CPU fan to my liking to reduce noise or increase cooling.

Surprise: CPU and case temperatures didn't rise even when I reduced the speeds by at least half! Far less noise. I'm happy. This is maybe the last modification to my newly built PC rig.
